The James Hotel in New York: Review and Video + Pics

Last updated: August 9, 2020

  • I stayed here on Tuesday, May 24th 2016.
  • I paid $330 for the room on HotelTonight = $279 + $51 taxes & fees.
  • I would return, ideally at a lower price.

Notes from HotelTonight

  • “Artsy and airy in SoHo”
  • Bright, minimalist rooms are straight-up SoHo, from the reclaimed wood to the exposed pipes.
  • Each of the 14 corridors is curated to show off one artists’s work. Take the stairs and check ’em all out.
  • The trendy rooftop bar attracts local fashionistas with wicked views of both rivers.
  • Free Wifi.
  • Outdoor pool open seasonally (after Memorial Day is what the guest services person told me)
  • Garden, rooftop deck.
  • Room approximately 280 sq ft.
