NG: Hello from the Whitney Museum in New York City, this is the best show right now.  We’re going to go inside the Whitney and up to the fifth floor.

NG: I’m here to check out the Dreamland show with my buddy Nick Panama, Dreamlands Immersive Cinema and Art.  Let’s just cut to the chase, my favorite one of the whole show is this huge room with these neon LED lights.  You walk into it and there are seats and a video installation.

NG: What they’ve done is built an entire motion caption studio inside, and you watch these videos that are great.  I love this, my favorite thing is called “Factory of the Sun.”

NG: Next up, grab a pair of 3D glasses because we’re going to be walking inside this cardboard dome creation.  You lay back into a beanbag chair and watch this 360 degree video that is hard to describe, but for me put me into a but of a trance.  It’s called “Trading Futures.”

NG: Nearby is this neon installation video screen space – there is all these oranges on the floor that you kick around and video playing on each of the four walls around you when you walk inside.  I like just watching the video because it was very weird.

NG: “Easternsports” by these guys.  I saved the best for last maybe, this is my favorite cartoon-type thing. It’s old Disney-style animation that was recreated today with the current artist.  I don’t know how to describe it, but it made me so happy to watch.  It’s called “Imitation of Life,” it lasts about three minutes and look at the cast list to produce this, amazing!

NG: There is a lot of other interesting things there but those are my favorites.  This one is a room you can walk with a whole bunch of film and kick it around, there is some other video art installations, many many screens, it’s the whole fifth floor. It’s called Dreamlands Immersive Cinema and Art at the Whitney.

NG: That was the Dreamlands show at the Whitney, it’s open until February 5th, 2017.  I’m now on the high line here in beautiful New York City.  If you like this video, please give it a like or a comment – it encourages me to make more.  Have a great day, you are awesome!
