BroadLink IR/RF Smart Home Hub
Basically you take any old school remote control and then make it part of your Amazon Alexa/google/HomeKit system — TVs, VCRs, Projectors, Projector screens, Sounds System, Ceiling Fans, AC/Fan etc. And you can string stuff together across remotes!
For example when I say “Alexa turn on projector”, my projector screen starts lowering, the projector turns on, my Apple TV gets woken up, and all the lights in the room go off.
Similarly, last week, I made our portable AC unit controllable through Alexa by cloning its remote control. Now I can pre-cool our bedroom every night on schedule.

Conclusion
I like all these gadgets and home products that JWeg shared.
I think I’m just inundated with product suggestions, and I tend to trust the recs from people that I know and trust.
