There's ALT text on each of the above images - hold your mouse over for a description. Video clips from our ground training sessions, which were definitely the hardest part of introductory paragliding camp.

From an e-mail I sent to my parents -- Melissa's Paragliding Ashram is a really cute bungalow that I've been staying at for the last few days. It is situated a hundred meters uphill from the smaller of two lakes in Govitri village, near Kamshet, in Maharashtra state.

If you have your own glider and you want to go paragliding in India, specifically near Mumbai or Pune, go to Tower Hill near Kamshet. There's a road which takes you most of the way up the hill, and then you can walk through the remaining Forest Service land to the big clear takeoff area. You can e-mail the guy at www.SpaceApple.com and ask him to show you around - he's OK.
