My Hot New Diet - Whey and Oats

My dad told me that I am fat. "Your face is getting puffy. You need to stop trying so hard to gain weight."

Little does he know that I have a hot new diet. I am no longer drinking three cans of Boost per day. Instead, I make whey protein milk shakes.

Sometimes I add a secret ingredient to my whey protein shakes - steel cut oats. I microwave 80 grams of oats with 8 ounces of water. Then I put the oats in a blender with 24 grams of whey protein and 8 ounces of skim milk. Combined, it is about five hundred calories and forty grams of protein. And very little fat.

I have also started to take creatine. Twice per day, I consume 3 grams of Creatine Ethyl Ester Malate and 2 grams of Glutamine AKG. These cell volumizing agents are conveniently packaged by BSN in their CellMass product.

Today I weighed in at 177.5lbs. In thirty days, I will update you on my progress.

Update - This post probably sounds pretty obsessive. It kind of is. I am really spending a lot of time and effort to get bigger and see how much I can change my body in good health. But I am also obsessed with measurements, thus the focus that this post has on numbers.

I think you have an eating disorder ;-)

Long-term creatine use makes you look big by causing your muscle cells to retain water, so be sure to drink more liquids. Chris took it for a while in high school.

I have heard the same thing about creatine. Some say that prolonged use of the supplement will result in muscles that are flabby and droopy (due to water retention). Not a pleasant site.
Also remember that weightlifting is only half of the health spectrum. Aerobic exercises such as running and swimming will provide more lasting health benefits and will make you look more fit.

Thanks everybody for your input. I am still learning about supplements and do not know very much right now.

I have two active friends who highly recommended creatine to me. I also have read creatine testimonials from many people on the bodybuilding.com forums; a majority of these reviews are very positive.

I feel that the product is safe because it has been on the market for so long, and because of its widespread use.

That being said, I plan to cycle off of creatine after two months of use.

Let me know if you have any other advice.

And to cap, I think you're right - I do have very different diet priorities than most people! :)

Hey -- be careful.

Three letters: HGH
