I'm a little obsessed with West Wing repeats on Bravo. I saw one today that encouraged me to write a little to this blog.
The episode features a young Republican lawyer tearing apart a senior White House staffer on live TV. She lambasts the Democrat's poor education plans into oblivion and makes a fool of the staffer.
Her arguments are so crisp and her performance is so impressive that the President requests she be hired as council. The young Republican lawyer visits the White House intent on turning the job offer down. She does not want to support the terrible policies and the lackluster Barlett staff.
After a few hours waiting at the White House to decline the position, the young Republican lawyer begins to think differently. In a dinner with her Democrat friends later that night, she explains.

Did you meet anyone there who isn't worthless? ...
AINSLEY
The people that I have met have been extraordinarily qualified, their intent is good. Their commitment is true, they are righteous, and they are patriots. [after a moment, with tears in her eyes] And I'm their lawyer.
End of my West Wing life analogy.
